Outstanding Performance of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences at the “Martyr General Qassem Soleimani Festival” on World Standards Day
The ceremony marking World Standards Day was held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce Conference Hall, with the participation of the Governor of Isfahan Province, the Director General of the Isfahan Standards Office, and a group of industrial managers, specialists, and professionals in the field of standardization.
Mr. Mehdi Hadi, Director General of the Isfahan Standards Office, referred to this year’s World Standards Day theme, “Shared Vision for a Better World: Partnerships for the Goals,” emphasizing that achieving this vision is only possible through ongoing coordination and cooperation among the government, private sector, and consumers.
Later, Dr. Mehdi Jamalinejad, Governor of Isfahan Province, highlighted the importance of turning “standards” from a slogan into an organizational behavior. He elaborated on the key role of standards in sustainable development, stating that “standards symbolize trust, justice, and integrity.”
During the ceremony, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences was recognized as the Top Executive Organization in the Field of Standardization at the Martyr General Qassem Soleimani Festival.
Dr. Zahra Esfandiari, faculty member of the Nutrition and Food Security Research Center, attended the event as a representative of Dr. Shirani, President of the University. She received the Certificate of Appreciation from the Governor of Isfahan in recognition of her individual contributions, including participation in drafting three national standards (derived from an approved research project by the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology) and her active role in related commissions and committees.
The festival’s executive approach was inspired by the pragmatic leadership and governance model of Martyr General Qassem Soleimani, emphasizing resilience, deterrence, and protection of the nation against adversarial threats.
In honor of this courageous and dedicated commander, the festival bears his name as a symbol of responsibility, perseverance, and commitment to duty—encouraging organizations to enhance innovation, resilience, and public satisfaction through the effective implementation and expansion of standards in the country’s operational infrastructure.
