The Nutrition and Food Security Research Center was included in the list of top-ranking health promotion research centers of the Iranian universities of medical sciences in 2021

Based on the results of the annual evaluation of research activities of the research centers affiliated to the Iranian universities of medical sciences by the Vice President of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, the Nutrition and Food Security Research Center is in the list of the top-ranking health promotion research centers of the Iranian universities of medical sciences in 2021.

In this evaluation, the indicators related to knowledge production including, research outputs (published articles, abstract of articles and books), published articles in Q1 journals, published articles with international cooperation, h-index and number of references from PubMed, ISI Web of Science, and SCOPUS were extracted in 2021. The raw scores were then adjusted based on the importance of each index and according to the relevant coefficients,. Finally, the centers were ranked in each group.

In this way, Nutrition and Food Security Research Center at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences (IUMS), with Z-score of 2.91, was in the third place among health promotion research centers without an independent budget line with up to ten years of operation in 2021.
